Travelers that choose a Jewish themed tour will have the opportunity to visit some local synagogues such as Neve Shalom and Askenazy Synagogue. Other sites that may be seen include the Galata tower built by the Genoese in 1303. If you choose a cultural Turkish sail boat tour, then you may see the famous Sunken City with cut-rock cells, stairway walls and chambers that are all visible under the sea. The church of St. Nicholas (Santa Claus) may also be on the agenda for a cultural tour. Many tours will allow travelers the opportunity to visit with locals and possibly visit their homes therefore allowing the true richness of the Turkish culture to come alive.
Prices of tours may or may not include meals, tips, and extra activities. If meals and activities are not included in the price of the tour, these items can be purchased separately.
