Boat rentals

from:

United States of America has wonderful lakes and sea-side resorts. What better way to enjoy their beauty than take a boat rental. When talking to a tourist agency, however, you may be asked many questions as to your requirements. Basic questions like number of family members are not a problem, but what you answer when the agent asks you whether want a kayak, a pontoon or a yacht.
Here is a brief introduction to some names he may pop.

House boats: There can be no better way of enjoying your vacation then staying in a house boat. Houseboats of the awesome Mississippi are well known, but the small inlet rivers and many lakes in the United States have inviting house boats. Your boat rental is now a luxury condo on water. You will find every facility from a microwave for cooking that freshly caught fish to a washing machine to the latest sound systems for your favorite music, they have everything. Imagine waking to slow rise of sun in the lake and going to bed with the soothing sound of gentle waves against your house boat.

Kayak: If you are into exercise, your boat rental has to be a kayak. It is a narrow, usually small boat which one or two or people who use a peddle to propel it. It was generally used for fishing or hunting by Eskimos or Greenland people. It is a wonderful exercise and done in a team gives that feeling of camaraderie which draws people to team sports and pubs. A modern kayak may be made of many a new material, like remodeled plastic, fiberglass or carbon fibre. Originally the kayak was made of animal skin. Sea kayaks may also accommodate three people. Kayaks are used for surfing also. Kayaking is an Olympic sport.
Pontoons: The pontoons are flat bottomed boats which float with the help of closed drums or pipes, tubes etc normally called pontoons. So what we normally call a pontoon is a boat having pontoons as its base to help keep it afloat. The pontoons have different sections, the boat does not sink even in the case of leak in a pontoon. They are very comfortable and stable so are very a popular boat rental for a family vacation. Pontoon boats come in different sizes, from quite small to very large ones.

Yacht: From their humble origin in the past the sail boats of the old times have slowly evolved into luxury boats of the rich. Whereas even as late as the nineteen eighties electric light in a yacht was not common, now most yachts will have refrigerators, airconditioning, and cooking appliances. Also, these days the yachts use a combination of sail and motor for propulsion. A yacht boat rental wood not come cheap, but it would be a vacation to remember.

Before, deciding on a boat rental, it is always advisable to ask questions. For example, the boat rental does not usually include cost of fuel. You may also be asked for a security deposit. In a few cases you may not be allowed a boat unless you can satisfy they agency that you have experience of handling that type of boat.
